Associate Professor

Dr. Reece studies mechanical and transport properties of mudrocks. She is interested in a process-based understanding of physical, chemical, and biological diagenesis. Dr. Reece works on marine sediments obtained through scientific drilling programs as well as on unconventional shale gas/oil reservoirs. She uses core, logging data, and laboratory techniques to explore her science goals. Dr. Reece is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geology & Geophysics at Texas A&M University and leads the Sediment Mechanics Laboratory.
