N. TANNER MILLS
Tanner received a BS in Geology from Brigham Young University. After that, he moved to Texas and completed a Master's degree in Geology at Baylor University working in mudrock geochemistry. The desire to learn more about mechanical and transport properties of mudrocks led him to Texas A&M, where he started his Ph.D. degree in 2015 working on the impact of microbial activity on mudstone properties. Tanner's current research interests include early diagenesis in mudstones and evolution of mechanical, physical, and geochemical properties as well as microstructure during burial.
