C. RYAN ELMORE
Ryan received a B.S. in Geology from Clemson University and a M.S. in Geology, as part of the integrated research consortium STEEP, from UT Austin. Before starting at Texas A&M to pursue a Ph.D. in Geology, he spent 6+ years working as a petroleum geologist in the oil and gas industry. Much of his experience has dealt with operations and development of conventional and unconventional assets in Oklahoma and Texas. Ryan's current research interests are focused on hydromechanical properties of mudstones and submarine landslides. He currently leads the recently funded NSF project on understanding the implications of microfossils on submarine landslides.
